Before and After hair pictures

Ashlea got her hair done today. She got bangs that she has been wanting for awhile now. She had a straightener put on only the bangs and got the rest of her hair trimmed up. I think its very cute

swimming, swimming, and more swimming

After T-ball season was over they had a pool party for them.
Aunt Susan brought Beau's girls up for a couple of nights. Ashlea was happy to see them all and they got to play in our nice private pool, It is screened in so not much trouble with bugs for debris.

4th of July

We went to court house square in Clay Center for the 4th. face painting, jumping tent, funnel cakes (by Mike Spicer). It was a fun day, ending with fireworks at the fair grounds.

Red Cross swim lessons

Ashlea has passed level 4 swim lessons. She has been swimming almost daily. We got our pool and it took us 3 days to get it filled with warm water. Now she has gotten swimmers ear. She will have to wear ear plugs for awhile at least.

Order in the Court

I received a speeding ticket in Wakefield a couple of months ago. I decided to dispute the ticket. I took Ashlea with me to court and we got there early. This court room is extremely small. I took a picture of Ashlea as the judge before anyone came in. To my surprise Judge Carlson turned out to be a female. I asked her if I could take her picture with Ashlea and showed her the pic I had already taken of Ashlea as Judge Carlson. She thought it was cute. Rick James is the Clay County attorney and was such a big help to me when adopting Ashlea. He said he still has a drawing up in his office that Ashlea drew for him and his Wife when Ashlea was about 3 years old. I will be forever grateful for all Rick and Natalie did for me.
