Bullies

We just saw a TV show called Green Screen Adventures. It is a show where kids write and draw pictures about anything they want. We watched a couple of the shows. The kids send in their story and the show puts it together as a play. The kids have written a large variety of subjects, from learning to tie laces, to jumping pizza man, to fantasy fairy tales. Ashlea decided to try her hand at it. We are going to submit it and see if her story gets picked to be put on the show.

3rd grade

Ashlea went and took school supplies and met her teacher, Mrs Hays. She has a lot of fellow students that she is happy to have in her class this year. I think it is going to be a GREAT year.

More of Antietam

Ashlea climbed to the top of the tower to take a picture for me. Wendi took the picture of Ashlea climbing the stairs.

Antietam and a scarey spider

While on vacation we went to Antietam, Maryland. This was a site of a Civil War battlefield. For Clara Barton it was a beginning of what was to become the Red Cross. I collected rocks for my flower garden boarder. At Antietam I was looking under the shade of a tree for a rock and had a omg moment. The spider was huge.

Random pics of D.C.

The Capital several views, Washington monument, Rayburn statue. Native American museum. The Native American museum has no corners. While in D.C. we took a trolley tour of the city. The trolley broke down and the driver couldn't get the door open either. We were stuck on the trolley for nearly 2 hours. One block from Ford theater where Lincoln was shot.

There was soooooooo much to see at the natural history museum. Please enjoy the video of the butterflies. There were double doors to make sure that when we left the room there were no hitch hikers trying to get out with us. Several of them landed on us while we were in the garden.
